2007 Timeline.
The Women’s Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation is a designated fund that was established to generate financial resources for services, projects or programs that directly benefit women in the Jewish community.
Income from the invested capital of the Fund is used to provide annual grant support to a variety of issues which are of importance to Jewish women. Gifts to the Women’s Endowment Fund will enhance the quality of women’s lives in our community today while creating a legacy for future generations.
Grants awarded typically range from $1,000-$7,000.
Granting Guidelines:
- Grants will only be made to registered charities
- Grants will be considered which fund projects that address concerns of women in the Jewish community
- Grants may be given locally or globally with preference given to projects within British Columbia
- Preference will be given to projects that have Jewish content
- Preference will be given to creative and innovative projects or programs that have an impact on an area of interest
- Grants will normally be for one year only and must be utilized within one year of receipt of grant
- Applications must be completed in full and include all other sources of income that are being sought or have been received
Grants will not be provided for:
- Operating expenses or to sustain existing programs or services
- Individuals
